Bio

Global sound. Conscious message. Always ahead of the curve.

Urban Fu$e (UF) is an international music collective led by producer-songwriter duo Slam (USA) and Jimmix (Venezuela), later joined by James Grover (UK). Together, they fuse hip hop, dancehall, EDM, Latin, Afro, V-pop, and classical influences into one unmistakable sound. No matter the genre, their heartbeat stays the same: powerful rhythms and messages rooted in SPEMM health - Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Money.

Why the name Urban Fu$e?
Because they don’t just blend cultures and styles - they’re sparking a musical revolution.

Urban Fu$e has connected voices and rhythms from all five continents, crafting music that defies borders and expectations.

In 2025, Urban Fu$e unveiled Sunday, a time-based musical cycle built around a fixed four-bar ground derived from Handel’s Passacaglia. Across the project’s twenty movements, the ground remains constant while its surrounding conditions-tempo, texture, instrumentation, and listening environment-shift from track to track.

Rather than unfolding as a narrative, Sunday is structured as a listening environment that accommodates interruption, return, and non-continuous attention. Each movement recontextualizes the same musical material, allowing meaning to accumulate through repetition and difference rather than thematic development or resolution. What changes is not the ground itself, but the conditions under which it is encountered.

Released incrementally in 2025 and culminating in a complete cycle in January 2026, Sunday reflects an approach to composition centered on continuity, constraint, and endurance. By reusing rather than replacing its material, the work asks how memory persists, how attention shifts over time, and how meaning emerges through sustained presence rather than novelty.

In 2024, the music video for Just Cuz We’re Young dropped - an electrifying blend of EDM, house, Latin rhythm, and traditional West African drums. It follows a legacy of innovation, including 2023’s Scarred Dreammer and 20022 TikTok Rollie (Both English and Viet Mix) - one of the first music videos in hip hop to use AI and deep learning to tell a fully visualized moral story.

From 2021’s DLW3 EP (infused with Vietnamese instrumentation and old-school R&B/hip hop) to the holiday tribute Merry Nutcracker Christmas (2020), UF continues to challenge boundaries. Slam’s lyrical storytelling even earned recognition as a finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition (2021, 2020, 2019) for “TikTok Rollie,” “Ninja,” and “Freedom.” Meanwhile, her song Candy Cane was a UK Song Contest semi-finalist, earning a perfect 5-star review.

Whether it’s a Halloween single (Can't Steal My Deal), a socially conscious anthem, or a ballet-inspired EP (Merry Nutcracker Christmas), Urban Fu$e doesn’t just create tracks - they create movements.
